Through comprehensive information on the individual elements of the process, we would like to make you fit to accompany sustainability managers in the companies and destinations on the way to sustainability and to conduct TourCert trainings and seminars yourself.
Take action according to your wishes
Would you like to become active for us as a coach or auditor? In our course, both focal points are covered. You will try out all the necessary tools to become active in consulting for the introduction of a CSR management system and/or to conduct the external audit to check the certification requirements. The goal of the training, which lasts several days, is accreditation by our committees: Accompanied by a coach, you will apply the new knowledge in a consultancy or be guided by an auditor to a trial audit.
This is what it will be about
The 3-day course is composed of two modules:
Module 1: TourCert Coach
- What are the requirements for a TourCert coach?
- How can sustainability managers of destinations, accommodations or tour operators be optimally accompanied towards certification?
- Which tools are available in the process?
- How can companies and destinations be supported in the stakeholder analysis?
- How is an environmental inspection carried out?
- and much more.
Module 2: TourCert Auditor
- What is the function of an auditor in the certification process?
- With which elements does TourCert work and communicate?
- How does the system differ for companies and destinations?
- How is compliance with the certification guidelines ensured?
- How is the assessment carried out under certain TourCert standards?
- On the basis of which aspects is the reporting system carried out?
- and much more.

The course fees for the 3-day workshop amount to 975 € including break catering, lunch, manual and final certificate. There is no VAT on the service.
The training is aimed at professionals and consultants in tourism and sustainable business, with strong consulting and communication skills and at least three years of professional experience. On the basis of your curriculum vitae we will check your suitability for the training.
Minimum number of participants
Angela Giraldo is head of consulting and training at TourCert. Born in Cali-Colombia with Peruvian nationality, she has lived in Germany since 1981. She graduated in business administration and PR. Early on, she led study trips to Latin America, was an expert in development cooperation and a speaker at international conferences. Her current work focuses on consulting tourism companies and projects in Europe and Latin America with an emphasis on socially and environmentally responsible tourism. From the beginning she was involved in the development of the CSR certification system in tourism and the foundation of TourCert.
As Head of Audit & Development, Günter Koschwitz is an expert in the field of audits and assessment of CSR certifications in tourism. He graduated in business administration and has been involved in the development of TourCert gGmbH as a partner from the very beginning. With more than 30 years of experience in development cooperation and management consulting, he can look back on numerous European as well as international projects. Among them are diverse consulting assignments in almost all countries of Latin America. His consulting activities for environmental and sustainability systems have been proven in more than 200 companies and organizations.
Martin Balaš is Senior Consultant and Partner of TourCert and has been active in sustainable tourism management for more than 10 years. He studied Leisure and Tourism Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Stralsund and, after a trainee year at the GNTB, completed a Master’s degree in Sustainable Tourism Management at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Developßment. He was especially responsible for the development of the sustainability system for destinations and is still our expert for sustainable destination development. Furthermore, he is active as a tourism consultant for tourism associations & other stakeholders as well as a lecturer for German universities. Among others, he is an academic staff member at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Developßment. Currently he is active for the university in the UNWTO expert group of the global initiative MST “Measuring the Sustainability in Tourism”.
