TourCert, the non-profit organization for certification in tourism awards the CSR label “CSR TOURISM certified” to tourism enterprises.

TourCert brings together experts from the tourism industry, universities, environment and development organisations and politics. With many years of experience they stand for qualified training, consultancy and certification.

Organisations committed to CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) take responsibility for the impact of their business activities on society by fulfilling social and ecological requirements beyond legal provisions in their core business. CSR is not single good deeds but a corporate culture and strategic orientation.

With the CSR label tourism enterprises clearly commit themselves to their responsibility for sustainable tourism. They are committed to continuously improve their sustainability performance.
Following the standards of TourCert they examine their business practices on sustainability. An independent auditor will proof this.After this the certification council consisting of tourism experts will decide on the certification. The label is granted for a limited period of time.
